Let me tell you: this year has been SO MUCH FUN with Arden around the holidays!!!! She's excited about Santa coming
(even remembers him from years past), helped decorate the house and trim the tree, asked to go Christmas shopping for the family dog
(how sweet?!), created lovely Christmas tree ornaments for her Grandparents, and is really into The Elf On The Shelf
(Bill is the name she chose - and it's a game every morning to find him). One of my favorite memories this year has been holiday baking & crafting with her. We've already made some goodies for the neighbors but we're still planning on baking some sugar cookies to decorate for Santa
(and our Christmas Eve guests). Here are a few photos of our baking & crafting...so far. We've still got more to do!

| Well, a 2 year old did these...what'dya expect? And - a frosting mishap on my part (I didn't soften the butter enough. Oh well) |
The absolute BEST part about having her help me bake holiday goodies: When we put all of the goodies out on Christmas Eve, she bragged with pride to EVERYONE how she made the cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, and reindeer poop "All by myself". She got even more joy when someone actually ate one of them. (I did warn everyone before-hand that she helped me - but we made sure she had clean hands while doing so). They didn't mind. They ate them anyways.
