We did it!!!! We got the house!! The long wait was totally worth it. We absolutely LOVE our new home! We started the process in early June and we closed escrow in late October. Not bad for a short sale. We were ready. While we're still settling in, we have big plans for the house. First and foremost, we LOVE our yard! It's huge compared to some yards in our neighborhood because we're on a cul-de-sac and ...we have fruit trees! Apricot, Avocado and Orange. We truly feel blessed. And second, the longer we settle in, the more we realize how perfect the house is set up...just for us. We recently got new neighbors (the sale was great for us!) and they are totally cool! We're getting used to the neighborhood, but we are familiar with the area since my sister has lived here for more than a decade. It's absolutely perfect! We are so happy and we have big plans for our future.
The first night we took the kids to the house was awesome!! I was emotional with every step they took. It was our home. Where we'll build our future together as a family. And then, the hard work started. Tenting for termites, painting every room, cleaning up the yard. It was a long two weeks, but we moved in the week of Thanksgiving. We were all very thankful that our journey was over, and a new one was just beginning.
The stress level has decreased, to say the least. The kids have their own rooms and the space is amazing! The kids love running around and have their own play room. We've enjoyed our 1st Thanksgiving, Christmas and Arden's 5th birthday in our new house! The best part is the backyard and the cul-de-sac. The kids can ride their bikes and we can walk to the park. Arden got a Barbie car for Christmas that she and Anderson can ride to the park together. Nothing makes me happier to see them playing and having fun together!
This is our home! The place where Marshall memories begin!
Riding to the park on a beautiful sunny San Diego day!
