This is just to update family on how potty training is going. I am proud to say that Arden has made leaps & bounds in the last couple of weeks. We've been slowly working with her ever since she turned 18 months. But, these last few months have been full on 'potty training'. She now only wears a pull-up at night time. All through the day, she wears her big girl panties and even naps without a pull-up. So far so good....she has not had an accident in her bed....YET. Of course, there will be accidents while we are shopping, playing outside or doing a major activity but that's OK. That's just part of the learning process.
At first, we tried the sticker chart gig. She got over that real quick. I was against giving her any kind of sweet treat for going in the potty either (i.e, M&M's). As this is a part of the 'growing up process' and she shouldn't expect a treat for doing something that is expected of her. She really thrives on praise & high fives. Who can't argue with that?!
We are so very proud of Arden!!!! GREAT JOB SWEETIE!
